No. Look at past actresses and models, like from the 30′s and 40′s. They were gorgeous, and healthy but not disgustingly skinny bodies. I prefer the classic look.

If what you say is true, I wonder how you consider your grandfather or grandmother? Or, what your grand kids, assuming you get married one day and your children have children, may say about you.

Our appearance is very important for people do judge us by our appearance. But, unless we are equally shallow, we all know that there is much more in a person than his or her appearance, do we not? All people are valuable and everybody has a purpose. So, why the emphasis on our outward looks?

There was a report in some British science journal about how in some many hundred years, the human race will break off into beautiful people and ugly trolls (literally trolls). I guess time will tell if H.G. Wells had something right.
But yes, sexual selection is playing a part in this, however, there will always be a George Costanza for every Brad Pitt because of evolutionary biology: there must be variation for evolution to continue and for sexual selection as well. I personally believe that we are as evolved as could be, but due to sexual selection, a new race of devolved humans (ugly, stupid, literally troll like) could emerge. Good looks can be an indicator for good genes, which we would like to pass on. However, it is proven in animals and in humans that women look for mates with good genes in terms of health, strength, intelligence, and looks as well.
